Terms of Service — Delivery Zone
Version: 1.3
Last updated: 2026-08-31

1. Who We Are and What This Service Does
Delivery Zone ("we", "us", "the service") is a SaaS platform, operated by GN-Projects Solutions
Oy, that helps Finnish delivery businesses configure and query delivery area rules via a web
dashboard and
REST API. The service checks whether a destination postcode falls within a configured delivery
zone, and may calculate an indicative delivery price based on rules you define.
The Service is intended for business and professional use only. By creating an account or
using the Service, you confirm that you are acting in a business or professional capacity and
not as a consumer.
Important limitation: Results depend entirely on the delivery zone rules you configure and
on the postcode reference data available. A positive result ("can deliver") does _not_ guarantee
that a physical delivery will be completed. A negative result may reflect your current rule
configuration, not a permanent impossibility. Always verify critical cases manually and communicate
your actual delivery capabilities to your customers.
Non-critical use. The Service is not designed for emergency, safety-critical, medical, public
authority, or life-critical logistics use. You must not rely on the Service as the sole basis for
decisions where failure, delay, or inaccurate results could cause serious harm.
---
2. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the API, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to
these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to
bind that organisation.
We record your acceptance of these Terms at registration, including the version number, timestamp,
and IP address.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or
in-app notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective
date of a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
---
3. Incorporated Documents
These Terms incorporate by reference the following documents, where applicable: Privacy Policy,
Cookie Policy, Data Processing Addendum, Acceptable Use Policy, API Terms of Use, Billing &
Refund Policy, Service Availability Policy, Postcode Data Disclaimer, Subprocessors list,
Security Policy, and Legal Notice. If there is a conflict, the more specific document applies to
its subject matter.
- For personal data processing, the Data Processing Addendum takes precedence.
- For API-specific restrictions, the API Terms of Use and Acceptable Use Policy take precedence.
- For billing and refunds, the Billing & Refund Policy takes precedence.
---
4. Accounts and Organisations
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials and API keys confidential.
- All activity that occurs under your account or organisation.
- Notifying us promptly at security@deliveryzone.fi if you believe your credentials or keys have
been compromised.
- Ensuring that any team members you add to your organisation comply with these Terms.
- Providing accurate account information, including a valid email address.
You must verify your email address before your account becomes active. We reserve the right to
suspend accounts that have not been verified within a reasonable period.
---
5. API Keys
API keys authenticate requests to the public delivery check API. Each key is scoped to your
organisation. You must not expose secret API key values in public-facing frontend code, public
repositories, mobile application binaries, or any location accessible to unauthorised parties.
You are solely responsible for any requests made with your keys.
API key secrets are shown once at creation and cannot be recovered. If a key is compromised,
revoke it immediately via the dashboard and generate a replacement.
We log API requests (postcode queried, timestamp, response status, organisation ID, API key prefix)
for billing, auditing, and abuse prevention purposes. We do not log end-consumer personal data
beyond what is technically necessary.
---
6. Acceptable Use
You may use the service only for lawful purposes. **Permitted use is limited to submitting
individual validation requests required for your normal business operations**, such as checking
whether a specific customer order, address, postcode, or delivery destination is serviceable.
You may not:
- Store, persist, copy, cache, scrape, harvest, bulk download, export, or otherwise retain
Delivery Zone API responses for the purpose of creating, enriching, replacing, or
reconstructing any postcode database, delivery-zone database, geographic dataset, distance
table, address dataset, or similar derived dataset.
- Save Delivery Zone API results into your own database or systems except for strictly limited
operational logging necessary for debugging, fraud prevention, billing verification, security
monitoring, or legal compliance. Such logs must be minimised, access-controlled, and must not
be used to recreate the underlying dataset.
- Resell, sublicense, publish, disclose, share, redistribute, make available, or provide
third-party access to Delivery Zone API responses, datasets, derived datasets, or validation
outputs, whether directly or indirectly.
- Use automated scripts, bots, batch jobs, systematic queries, enumeration techniques, or other
methods to extract, map, infer, or reconstruct the coverage, postcode, distance, or
delivery-zone data behind the Service.
- Use the Service or API responses to develop, train, improve, benchmark, or operate a
competing product, data product, postcode validation service, delivery-zone validation
service, logistics dataset, or similar commercial service.
- Attempt to scrape, extract, or redistribute raw postcode datasets from the service.
- Use the service to facilitate illegal activities or to circumvent applicable Finnish or EU law.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disable, or interfere with the platform's security mechanisms.
- Share your account credentials or API secret keys with third parties who have not agreed to
these Terms.
- Send excessive automated requests designed to degrade service performance for other customers.
- Misrepresent postcode check results to your end customers in a way that creates misleading
expectations about delivery availability.
Delivery Zone may suspend, throttle, block, or terminate access if it reasonably suspects
misuse, excessive querying, dataset reconstruction, scraping, resale, unauthorised storage, or
other prohibited use. Such action may be taken without prior notice where the violation poses an
immediate risk to the integrity of the Service or its underlying licensed postcode/reference data.
We may also temporarily suspend or limit access while investigating suspected abuse, security
incidents, payment failures, excessive usage, or activity that may threaten the Service, other
customers, or the licensed postcode/reference data.
See also our Acceptable Use Policy and API Terms of Use.
---
7. Customer Responsibility for Delivery Results
You are responsible for how you present Delivery Zone results to your own customers, including
checkout messaging, delivery promises, pricing, exceptions, and manual override processes. API
results are advisory only. You must apply your own business judgement before making binding
commitments to your end customers.
---
8. Billing and Subscriptions
Payments are processed by Mollie B.V. We do not store your payment card details; they are
handled by Mollie. For payment processing carried out under Mollie's merchant terms, Mollie
generally acts as an independent controller of your payment data, not as our processor — see
our Privacy Policy and Subprocessors list.
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly cycle. Prices are shown in EUR and exclude
VAT. Finnish VAT (ALV) or other applicable EU taxes may apply at checkout depending on your
billing country and VAT registration status. You are responsible for providing accurate billing
information.
See our Billing & Refund Policy for full details on refunds, plan changes,
upgrades, downgrades, failed payments, and cancellations.
---
9. Data and Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it,
and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By using the service
you acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
If you process personal data of your end customers through the API (for example, destination
addresses linked to identifiable persons), you may need a Data Processing Agreement with us.
See our DPA.
---
10. Postcode Data Accuracy
Delivery Zone validates Finnish postcodes against authoritative Finnish postcode reference
information, and uses its own versioned geospatial dataset — supplemented, where needed, by a
licensed fallback coordinate source — to resolve representative locations for radius-based
delivery rules. This data may be incomplete, approximate, or not fully up to date. We are not
Posti (Finnish Post) and are not an official source of Finnish postcode information; Posti does
not endorse or certify Delivery Zone.
See our Postcode Data Disclaimer for full details, including known
limitations and your responsibilities as a customer.
---
11. Intellectual Property
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use
the service during your active subscription. We retain all intellectual property rights in
the platform, API, software, postcode reference data, and documentation. You retain all rights
to your delivery zone configurations.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the service or its
documentation without our prior written consent.
---
12. Third-Party Services
The service relies on third-party providers for infrastructure, payments, and email delivery.
We are not responsible for the availability or performance of third-party services beyond our
reasonable control. See our Subprocessors list.
---
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the service will be
uninterrupted, error-free, or that postcode check results will be accurate for all use cases.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to maintain reliability, but we make no
guarantees of perfect uptime or accuracy.
We are not liable for decisions you make based on API results. You are responsible for verifying
edge cases and configuring your delivery zones to reflect your actual operations.
Any service targets, maintenance rules, or availability credits, if offered for your plan, are
described in the Service Availability Policy. Unless expressly
stated there or in an order form, we do not provide a guaranteed SLA.
---
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Finnish and EU law, our total aggregate liability
to you for any claims arising from or relating to the service will not exceed the total fees you
paid to us in the three (3) calendar months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the
claim.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or exemplary damages,
including but not limited to lost profits, lost revenue, or loss of business opportunity,
even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
These limitations do not exclude or limit liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Finnish or EU law.
---
15. Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. If you cancel your subscription, your
access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period. We may suspend
or terminate your account for material breaches of these Terms, including AUP violations,
non-payment, or fraudulent activity. In cases of severe violations (such as active security
attacks), we may act without prior notice.
On termination, access to paid features will end according to your subscription status and
Billing & Refund Policy. We will retain, delete, or anonymise data in
accordance with the Privacy Policy and, where applicable, the
Data Processing Addendum. Some records may be retained where required for
billing, tax, accounting, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
---
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes arising out of or relating to
these Terms or the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Finnish courts,
unless mandatory EU or Finnish law requires otherwise.
