Billing & Refund Policy — Delivery Zone

1. Payment Processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details on our servers. Card data is handled by Stripe according to applicable payment security standards, including PCI DSS obligations applicable to Stripe. By purchasing a subscription, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.
2. Subscription Plans and Billing Cycle
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan interval you select at checkout. Your billing cycle begins on the date you activate a paid plan.
Prices are displayed in EUR and exclude VAT. Finnish VAT (ALV) or other applicable EU VAT may be added at checkout depending on your billing country, VAT registration status, and applicable tax rules. The current Finnish standard VAT rate is 25.5%.
B2B customers with a valid EU VAT number may be eligible for the reverse charge mechanism. Stripe or the checkout flow may validate your VAT details where applicable. You are responsible for providing accurate billing information, including your country and VAT registration number where applicable.
3. Free Plan
A free plan is available with limited API call volume, delivery zones, and API keys. No payment information is required for the free plan. We reserve the right to adjust free plan limits with at least 30 days' notice.
We may make immediate changes to free plan limits where necessary for security, abuse prevention, platform integrity, or licensed-data protection.
4. Upgrading Your Plan
You can upgrade your subscription plan at any time via the Billing section of the dashboard. When upgrading mid-cycle, you will be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of the current billing period. Your new plan limits take effect immediately upon upgrade.
5. Downgrading Your Plan
Downgrading takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to your current plan's features and limits until the billing period ends.
If your usage remains above the lower plan limits when the downgrade takes effect, some API keys, delivery zones, or features may be disabled, blocked, or made read-only until usage is reduced or the plan is upgraded again.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time via the Billing section of the dashboard (using the "Manage Subscription" button, which opens the Stripe Customer Portal).
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- You retain access to paid features until the period ends.
- Cancelling does not automatically delete your account or data. See our Privacy Policy for data retention terms.
- After cancellation, your account reverts to the free plan at the end of the billing period.
7. Refunds
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started. However:
7.1 Billing Errors
If you believe there was a billing error — for example, you were charged when you had already cancelled, or you were charged the wrong amount — contact billing@deliveryzone.fi within 14 days of the charge. We will review the case and issue a refund if a billing error is confirmed.
7.2 Service Unavailability
If the service was substantially unavailable for an extended period due to a fault on our side and you were unable to use it at all, contact billing@deliveryzone.fi within 14 days of the incident. We will assess refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
7.3 Business Use Only
Delivery Zone is intended for business and professional use only. We do not offer consumer subscriptions. Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law, but consumer cooling-off rules for consumer purchases are not intended to apply to business subscriptions.
8. Failed Payments
If a payment fails, Stripe will automatically retry the charge according to its retry schedule (typically over several days). We will notify you by email of the initial failure.
If payment remains outstanding after Stripe's retries:
- Your account may be suspended temporarily.
- If payment is not received within a reasonable period, your subscription may be automatically cancelled and your account may be downgraded to the free plan.
- Your account access, API keys, and subscription state may be retained for at least 30 days after payment-related suspension to allow reactivation. API usage logs, billing records, and security records are retained according to the Privacy Policy.
To update your payment method, visit the Billing section of the dashboard.
9. Pricing Changes
We may change subscription pricing. We will give at least 30 days' advance notice by email to affected subscribers before a price change takes effect.
If you do not accept a price change, you may cancel your subscription before the new pricing takes effect and you will not be charged at the new price.
10. Taxes and VAT
If you are located in Finland or another EU country, Finnish or local VAT may apply to your subscription. B2B customers with a valid EU VAT number may provide it at checkout for reverse-charge treatment. You are responsible for determining and fulfilling your own tax obligations.
We reserve the right to adjust prices to account for changes in applicable tax rates.
11. Trials, Promotions, and Limited Access
We may offer free trials, promotional credits, private beta access, or limited early access at our discretion. Unless expressly stated otherwise, such access is temporary, non-transferable, may be changed or withdrawn, and does not guarantee future pricing, availability, or continued free access.
